| Goal | Provide an experiential learning activity for students taking Civics to better understand the voting process. |
| Description | Student will be required to selected a political party (salty or sweet or undecided). They will then participate in nominating candidates (sweets and treats), voting in a mock primary election, and a general election. The goal is to decide the reward they want to receive when the classroom PBIS goal is met (the class earns stars for positive behavior and following the expectations). |
| Benefits | Students will review the steps of the voting process, types of elections, how to choose a candidate, who we vote for. They will also be encouraged to participate as a class in creating a positive learning environment for all. |
