Mission Statement: The mission of the Education Foundation of Martin County is to enrich and enhance educational opportunities and support for all students and teachers in Martin County public schools.

Vision:  A community where students and teachers are inspired to succeed every day through exceptional learning opportunities

About us:  Identified as the strategic non-profit partner of the Martin County School District, the Education Foundation of Martin County (EFMC) is a 501(c)(3) community investment organization comprised of business leaders, community volunteers, and school officials.

The Foundation strives to increase community involvement and financial support of the educational process, encourage effective instruction, strengthen student  motivation, promote  academic  achievement, and create initiatives that support dedicated and creative teachers; thus, supporting excellence in education!

As an independent group, the Foundation promotes this effort by raising and distributing private and corporate funds through several established programs including classroom enrichment grants, mentoring programs, professional development for teachers, special initiatives, scholarships, and programs to recognize outstanding teaching. These resources exceed the funding capabilities of the school board.
