Goal

The goal of "Book Nook" is to enhance the classroom library by adding a variety of complex texts as well as Sunshine State Young Readers Award Books.

Description

The books that are being requested are a variety of different genres. These are texts that were selected by the state of Florida because they demonstrate exemplar writing as well as provide students with the opportunity to gain background knowledge on a wide array of topics. Some of the books selected received the distinguished award of Sunshine State Young Readers Awards.

Benefits

When students are exposed to these texts, they will improve their reading and writing skills. They will build upon their vocabulary and content knowledge to be successful academically.
